What's wipse?
wipse is a community to promote the user experiences of new era with Windows platform and Services, and will drive the introduction, research and study of new technologies including demonstration experiments.
We focus the infrastructure, trend and service aggregation that the essences of those new services and systems provided to end users, furthermore will give the traction to share the Windows technologies in each of those segments with wipse's members.
In our activities, addition to information exchanges among the members, any kinds of document delivering and demonstration experiments will be included. Thanks to Microsoft, we will be able to provide the framework that realizes a range of activities, by sharing any resources with the company.
The site and online communities will be the core of these activities. While to address information delivering and sharing, we will spend the time and effort to promote the demonstration experiments, it will be created by the collaboration with Microsoft Innovation Center.
The community will track the new technologies in Vista and Windows Server 2008 era, and then will escalate the exchanges of case studies and information among the members, so that they can create the new business aspects and profits.
As the organization management mechanism, the community contains a board member's committee and executive office which create and support any technical working groups according to our activities. In present, there are four of working groups as following.

Introduction of technical working groups
OpenXML technical working group
Now, the word "Office" means the total concept of desktop applications which consolidate a lot of end user needs, rather than to indicate Microsoft Office merely. Between Windows and mobile devices, also among other platforms, the working group will make the evidence by inspection that the standardization of data created by Microsoft Office.
Windows Live API technical working group
Though the eyes of developer, the working group will drive the research and study of general services that provided by Windows Live. At first, information of TOU (terms of use) will be given to group members so that they can understand Windows Live Platform easily. TOU is the very important thing for the efficient usage of the services.

Silverlight technical working group
Microsoft Silverlight, as a Web browser plug-in, supports the cross browser platform. Based on .NET Framework, it will realize the new age of media experience and RIA (Rich Interactive Application) within Web environment.
WSSRA technical working group
WSSRA (Windows Server System Reference Architecture) means the base concept consisted of documents and deployment-kit that the essence to develop the sever systems in distributed environment. The working group will verify the reference architecture that will be useful when you to validate the existing systems and design the new systems.
